Bob Potts explaining sluice gate operation at Lurgshall Mill in 2014

Bob, an accountant, was recruited to the Friends of High Salvington Mill from the scouts where he was a scout leader and had a history of successful money raising ideas. Peter Casebow and Roger Ashton had sons in the scouts and, according to Peter, they were so impressed with Bob's money raising acumen that they determined to persuade Bob to join the Friends.

Bob, together with wife Betty Potts, became a very active member of the Friends and the High Salvington Mill Trust where he took on posts such as Treasurer and Secretary and ran a number of very successful Summer fetes.

Bob retired from the Board of High Salvington Mill Trust Limited in 2013.
