Turn Sails
Turn to next quarter. Each sail is marked with a week number in Roman numerals to give guidance on what position to leave sails after the mill has operated.
RESPONSIBILITY: Senior Millers, Maintenance Coordinator
Inside Mill
Check if clean and tidy, particularly if opening for the public.
- Vacuum up flies and clean away bird mess if birds have got into windmill.
- Check the cloth covering the flour bin and eye of the stone is in place.
- Check the brake lever peg is firmly in place.
- Check the lights have been turned off.
Grass - Main Area
Inspect and mow if required.
