Hazards in the kitchen include the following:

Hazard Mitigation
Slips or trips if the floor is wet or items are left in the wrong place. Non-slip floor. Training
Scalding from hot water via water heater at :
  • Hand washing station
  • Sink
  • Urn
Falls accessing isolation switches. Separate pull cord switch installed for sink water heater. Please use the stick provided to reach the other isolating switches, and if you still can't reach, find someone taller who will have more leverage. NEVER hit switches with the stick as this may break the switch.
