Back to Mill Site Buck Stone Floor
Surrounding the pairs of mill stones are large wooden vats or tuns. These catch the flour flying out from between the stones where a paddle on the runner stone can scoop it towards the top of the spout that will carry it down to the Spout Floor for bagging.
