Fit tarpaulin to waterproof mill

1978

Remove stones & hurstings.

Mark jacking points for steel cradle.

Old brake wheel

1979

Remove tail pole, old trestle with F.B. stones.

Fit bars through mill to locate lifting positions.

1980

Position jacking points for cradle.

Peak stones. Make brake wheel. Fitting teeth.

1981

Open day. Mill on cradle & new crown tree.

Old crown tree removed. Restored sack barrow.

1982

Fete. Wire m/c cage. Plastic over buck.

Meal & tail beams & tail pole.

Crown tree with date. Brake wheel.

1983

Side cladding/topping out. Replace tail pole/talthur.

Sack scales. Replace stones. Sharp & new hedge.

Windshaft damage/scaffolding.

1984

Clad front & back. Install sack hoist, barbeque & fete.

Old shutter & crank.

Repair windshaft/box section.

Fit brake wheel. Floor joists.

Peak stones replaced. Old & new rinds.

1985

Install brake wheel. New stock to mill.

Lay turning circle. Newly clad mill.

1986

Shape brake wheel cogs. Fit floorboards, brayer, aux drive. B............ school party turns mill.

1987

Fit common sweeps. Hurricane. Built spring sweeps.

Mill fete and May day.

1988

Mill with common sweeps only. New springs and spring sails. Fete.

1989

Demolish roundhouse, open trestle mill.

Setting both types of sail. Setting peak stones and new floor. Footings for tea hut.

1990

Open trestle, building roundhouse. New grain bins.
