Long Barn

From High Salvington Mill Trust
The Long Barn in 2009

The Long Barn was built by volunteers with their contributed hours of labour matching funding by a Heritage Lottery grant. The building houses a kitchen, at the East end, a shop, in the centre, a workshop, and, gentlemen's and ladies' toilets, at the West end. To the rear are three liftable covers to protect stored trestle table tops and an outside water tap. A hatch in the workshop provides access to the attic which is used to store the games and sideshows deployed at the annual Summer Fete and Rural Autumn Craft Fair.

Railway Bench

Outside the Long Barn, against the wall between the workshop door and the toilets, is a railway bench.
