A post to the West of the gates supports a leaflet holder so that passers-by can take home a leaflet publishing the dates and times of open days and events with a potted history and map to show car parking locations.
Inside the wooden leaflet holder is a spring-loaded, copper-coated panel designed to push leaflets forward and deter slugs and snails that might otherwise eat the leaflets.
