John Gruber's model of a typical Spanish thatched roof tower mill is not identified with any specific real windmill. The motor for the sails is controlled by a slide switch on the rear of the cap, see photograph right.

Access to the motor, battery and switch connections is via a retaining plate with dowel on the underside of the removable cap, see photograph below, left.
The only details we have on the mill which inspired John Gruber to make this model come from his label affixed to the underside of the model, see photograph below, right.
