Hedges

Back to Mill Site

The North boundary used to be a few feet further northward, with a single track lane past the mill. Worthing Borough Council moved the boundary southward to make the road past the mill the same width as the remainder of Furze Road.

In 1984, 150 new bushes were planted to make up a new boundary hedge all round the site. Subsequently, the volunteers learnt hedge-laying to construct the hedge we have today.
