Autumn Rural Crafts Fair
From High Salvington Mill Trust
Back to Events
Organiser: The Events Team
Date: First Sunday in September[1]
The Autumn Rural Crafts Fair was an event proposed by Bob Potts and Peter Casebow. The aim was to showcase rural crafts skills with relevance to restoration and maintenance of the mill so as to attract people with similar skills and interests who might be persuaded to join our team of maintenance volunteers.
- ↑ In the early years this was switched to the second Sunday to accommodate the attendance of the Sussex & Kent Weald Stationary Engine Group who were at a steam fair in the West Country on the first Sunday of September. This created an additional open day in the calendar. In recent years this group has not participated, and the event moved onto a normal open day date.
