Board Appointment of a New Trustee/Director.
- Candidate proposed to Board.
- Board votes to start process to admit candidate.
- Candidate sent "Responsibilities of a Trustee" and "Trustee Eligibility Declaration" documents.
- Candidate completes and returns "Trustee Eligibility Declaration".
- "Secretary" may, either, accept the declaration as sufficient due diligence, or, carry out further checks:
- Disclosure and Barring Services
- Companies House Disbarred Directors
- Charity Commission
- Individual Insolvency Register
- "Secretary" reports to the Board if the Candidate is eligible.
- Board votes to admit eligible Candidate.
- Within 7 days of the vote, "Secretary" registers Candidate, using details supplied on "Trustee Eligibility Declaration",
- as a Director via Companies House online system.
- as a Trustee via Charity Commission online system.
- "Secretary" notifies Candidate of their accession.
- "Secretary" reports accession to the Board.
